Update on Windows 7

After experienced Windows 7 for one week, I would like to share my thought.
First of all, I still love it.Windows 7 will be a great operating system. I'm glad microsoft doing this right. But that would be unjustified to use only my own impression without some fact.

The good
- Windows 7 boots faster than XP
- The new taskbar make sense
- Aero doesn't slow my computer down
- Windows Explorer is quite good, upgrade from XP
- Spotlight imitate ( search function in start menu ) is rightous. Copy a good thing result in a good thing after all.
- Sticky Note might be good
- Windows Media Player seems smarter
- Most applications/drivers from XP/Vista can be used
- Background auto switch is the right toy. It gives you difference look to fresh your mind.

The bad
- My harddisk is obviously produces more heat. I can feel it in my palm.

Wish List
- Oracle / TOAD can be used when the final version is released
- Firefox can show every tab in the preview menu like IE8

Windows 7

I just install Windows 7 on my desktop and laptop. It works beautifully .... I hope this is one thing microsoft is doing right.



I admit I never use Windows Vista. I think it is another Windows ME. Microsoft failures .. Windows 7 impress me in many ways..
- Extremely fast UI response.. Thanks to Aero
- Better windows explorer
- Better taskbar icon management
- Beter at gaming .. hell ... how can it be ? But it gaves more FPS in Elder Scrolls Oblivion than in XP

More on Oblivion

I got a new computer, a powerful one. So it's time to execute my mission. However, the first try is not give me any satisfaction. I think the control of this game about using spell (magic) is not good. There are like 100 spells out there in the game. However, you only have 8 shortcuts to bind everything with. It's obviously not enough. Plus, the shortcut key is Number 1-8 .. Well, difficult to use.

- Pure destruction mage does not quite good. Due to the bad shortcut I mentioned. I can not use spell effectively. Unlike diablo II, I can not devastate the monster like that in Elder Scrolls.
- Paladin (Warrior/Priest combination) is not good. It probably because the character's race I picked was not good. You either strong and stupid or weak and clever. There must be another race that have well-balance nature.
- Hunter is also hard to play .. monster is moving all the time and sometime strong. It's very difficult to aim at moving target. I think I've to acquire stealth skill and ambush them from a distance. However, it's not possible to use this technique in small cave. Maybe I should try bow/knife combo. Ambush with one arrow and then fight with knife.
- Summoner/Necromancer is unbelievable suck. The summon creature is just stupid. Moreover, you can summon one minion a time. Maybe I should combo it with hunter as well..

My Desktop Computer

Come to think of it, the last time I have desktop computer is 10 years ago. Well, during that span, it's not that I don't have one, but it's a share computer in my family. I mostly use my laptop and let others use the desktop. I think it's time to get one of my own so I went to Pantip last week and this is what I bought.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16 GHz, 6 MB Cache)
4 GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
2x500GB Harddisk ( Built RAID 0)
XFX Geforce 9800 GTX+
Asus P5Q SE/R Mainboard

One thing I realized is that Computer is a lot cheaper these day.
Anyway, I'm ready to play game, and play hard . OH... such a happy day !

Guns 'n' Roses - Chinese Democracy

It might be an album that took longest time to produce in the world's music history. Fans wait since they are young until they already have children, for this particular piece of work. Back in the late 80s and early 90s, every kids known who AXL ROSE is. Guns 'n' Roses dominated music business. However, at the same time, everyone know what kind the man AXL ROSE is. No surprise to all of us that GNR was breakdown into pieces after that.

14 years... since 1994, last GNR album.. I was 14. Look at me now, I'm 28. Finally, 'Chinese Democracy' pop-out. Ask if it's worth waiting ? Is it a legendary piece of work that require 14 years of work ?
NO ..

But I have to admit I'm glad I heard AXL once again. I love his voice. The album show who he truely is. The album itself is decent. I can say it's in top 3 album of 2008 for me.

Although I have so much desire that the original GNR would reunite once again sometime before they die, I think it will never happen. I miss 'Appetite For Destruction'. I really miss rock and roll. But the world keep moving...

The Exorcist

The Exorcist เป็นหนังศาสนาเรื่องที่ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวาง มีการเริ่มต้นสร้างเมื่อปี 1973 เป็นภาคแรก โดยตัวหนังมีเนื้อเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการที่หญิงสาวคนหนึ่งถูกปีศาจเข้าสิง จริงๆแล้วภาษาัอังกฤษใช้คำว่า demonic possession ซึ่งไม่รู้ว่าจะถอดความโดยใช้ภาษาไทยคำไหนถึงจะเหมาะสม และเมื่อมีปีศาจร้าย ก็ต้องมีนักบวช ( Priest ) ที่มาทำการกำจัดปีศาจร้ายให้ออกไปจากร่างของหญิงสาวนี้ ซึ่งก็คือ Exroscism หรือ พีธีการไล่ผีนั่นเอง ปีศาจร้ายร้ายในเรื่องนี้คือ Pazuzu ( Pazuzu was considered the king of the demons of the wind, and son of the god Hanbi ) ซึ่งร้ายเอาการอยู่

จากความสำเร็จของ The Exorcist ทำให้มีการสร้างภาคต่อขึ้นมาอีกสองภาคคือ Exorcist II: The Heretic ในปี 1977 และ The Exorcist III ในปี 1990 เป็นอันจบ Trilogy ของหนัง เวลาผ่านมาีอีกหลายปี จนมีการสร้าง Exorcist: The Beginning ออกมาอีกครั้งในปี 2004 โดยถือเป็น Prequel ของ The Exorcist ภาคแรก จากนั้นก็มีการเข็น Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist ออกมาในปี 2005 โดยถือเป็น Prequel ของเรื่องทั้งหมดอีกรอบ

เนื่องจากเป็นแฟนพันธุ์แท้ของ The Exorcist เลยต้องเขียนถึงสักหน่อย คาดว่าชาติก่อนคงเกิดเป็นชาวคริสเตียนแหงๆ เพราะมีความชอบเกี่ยวกับสถาปัตยกรรมของโบสถ์ รวมถึงกระจกสี และหนังเรื่องนี้อย่างบอกไม่ได้ว่าทำไมถึงชอบ

ตอนนี้ก็รอ The Omen อยู่ ไม่รู้ว่าจะสร้างภาคต่อไหม ..

Vacation @ Bang Saan

During the new year, me and my entire family was getting together at my dad's house. It's located in Chonburi, 10 KM from Bang Saan beach. All I did was eat sleep watching movie and play game. However, there is one interesting story I would love to tell you, The Little Chicken.

I'm proud to introduce น้องไก่ต้อย



She probably belong to the neighbor.It is appear that during the new year they were not home. So, the little chicken has to feed herself. I guess she could not do it that well because she is raised by human. So, when she saw my mom and sis, she ran directly to them and beg for food.



After enjoy food for a while, suddenly one little dog came. He was escaping from another house near by. He was running around for a while until he spotted our little chicken.

Little Dog : " OMG ! That's a chicken ! Let's get her !!!"

Fortunately there is a fence. So little dog can not attack little chicken.



And then the dog owner call him back home. It was because he kept barking at the chicken so the owner afraid he would have disturbed us.

Then, the next morning. The little chicken came to visit our house since the morning. And yes, begging for more food. My mom and sis feed her with rice, mango and few more thing until she is full. It is time to clean herself up.



If you notice, it is our couch she is standing on. What a house chicken she is. Then she post herself for a camera. Man, can you believe that ? A Chiken Model.
