เพลงเก่าของ Harry Chapin เกี่่ยวกับพ่อและลูกชาย ... คนส่วนใหญ่จะคิดว่าเพลงนี้เป็นของ Cat Stevens แต่นั่่นเป็นเพราะเพลงที่เป็น Original จริงๆนั้นหาฟังยากมาก ก็เลยพาลคิดกันว่า Cat Stevens เป็นคนแต่งขึ้น และมันก็ตั้งแต่ปี 1974 .. นานแล้วน่ะ

สิ่งที่ทำให้เพลงนี้ดังคือเนื้อเพลงที่ลึกซึ้งและน่าเศร้า เนื้อเพลงเป็นการเล่าเรื่องราวผ่านสายตาของผู้เป็นพ่อ เริ่มจาก ..

ท่อนที่สามเป็นจุดผกผันของเรื่องราว

ผู้เป็นพ่ออยากจะคุยเลยโทรไปหา แต่ลูกชายก็ปกิเสธ ... เนื่องจากมีเรื่องนู่นนี่ในชีวิตยุ่งอยู่

และแล้วสุดท้าย ... ผู้เป็นพ่อก็รู้ว่าลูกชายนั้นโตขึ้นมาเหมือนตัวเองเลย .. น่าเศร้ายิ่งนัก

อีกจุดที่น่าประทับใจคือท่อนคอรัสของเพลง ที่สองท่อนแรกจะเป็นว่า

After Forever calls it quit

The band I listen to most was just disband. They said it's 15 years and they are now relized there are so many things left to do other than musics.

Fine, I'm SAD. ...

Great band is impossible to find these days. And those that are left, quit one by one.

Guns 'n' Roses - Chinese Democracy

It might be an album that took longest time to produce in the world's music history. Fans wait since they are young until they already have children, for this particular piece of work. Back in the late 80s and early 90s, every kids known who AXL ROSE is. Guns 'n' Roses dominated music business. However, at the same time, everyone know what kind the man AXL ROSE is. No surprise to all of us that GNR was breakdown into pieces after that.

14 years... since 1994, last GNR album.. I was 14. Look at me now, I'm 28. Finally, 'Chinese Democracy' pop-out. Ask if it's worth waiting ? Is it a legendary piece of work that require 14 years of work ?
NO ..

But I have to admit I'm glad I heard AXL once again. I love his voice. The album show who he truely is. The album itself is decent. I can say it's in top 3 album of 2008 for me.

Although I have so much desire that the original GNR would reunite once again sometime before they die, I think it will never happen. I miss 'Appetite For Destruction'. I really miss rock and roll. But the world keep moving...

Groove My Dog

งานนี้ Groove Riders, Palmy, Moderndog เล่นคอนเสิร์ตด้วยกัน แต่ไม่พร้อมกัน จะออกมาเป็นยังไงนะ
เริ่มจากเดินทางไปกิน ก๋วยเตี๋ยวปลาต้มยำ ช่อง 3 ที่เมืองทองก่อน ซึ่งเป็นร้านโปรด ไปถึงก็สั่งเหมือนเดิม เส้นใหญ่ต้มยำ เกาเหลาต้มยำ ปลาลวก เสียดายที่ไม่ได้สั่งขนมจีบเพราะแค่นี้ก็อิ่มเกินแล้ว หลังจากท้ิองอิ่มก็เดินทางไปที่จุดหมาย คือ Thunder Dome ซึ่งได้ข่าวมาว่าไม่มีที่จอดรถ
เมื่อรู้อนาคตว่าจะไม่มีที่จอด ก็เลยเอารถไปจอดที่ชาเลนเจอร์ฮอล ซึ่งมีที่จอดล้นหลาม.. แล้วก็เดินต่อไปยังจุดหมาย ใช้เวลาไม่นาน ประมาณ 5 นาที เสร็จแล้วก็นั่งรอให้คนอื่นๆมากันครบทีม จะได้เข้างานทีเดียว บนบัตรเขียนว่าคอนเสิร์ตเริ่มแสดงสองทุ่ม แต่ก็เป็นที่รู้กันว่าต้องเลทอย่างน้อย 30 นาทีแน่ๆ นั่งๆไปสักพักรู้สึกได้ว่าข้างในฮอลหนาวมากๆ คิดว่าคงเปิดแอร์ประมาณ 20 องศา

หลังจากนั่งรอ รอ รอ ไปสักพัก Moderndog ก็ออกมาเล่นเป็นวงเปิด พี่ป๊อด พี่โป้ง และพี่เมธี ไม่เคยทำให้ผิดหวังเลย ตลอดสิบกว่าปีที่ผ่านมา พวกพี่ก็ยังเป็นวงอันดับหนึ่งของเมืองไทยเสมอ มาคราวนี้ Moderndog เล่นเพลงในอัลบั้มใหม่หลายเพลง ถ้าใครไม่ไม่ใช่แฟนพันธุ์แืท้ก็คงร้องตามไม่ได้ แต่ไม่ใช่ปัญหาของเราอยู่แล้ว:D เล่นไปๆ พี่ป๊อดก็บอกว่าจะหมดเวลาแล้ว เฮ้ยยย .. อะไรกัน ยังไม่ทันไรเลย หมดแล้วเหรอ เสียดายจริงๆแต่ก็รู้สึกคุ้มกับเงิน 2,000 บาทที่จ่ายไป เพียงแค่ได้ฟัง Moderndog

ปาล์มมี่เดินขึ้นมาต่อ พร้อมบอกว่าตื่นเต้นมากๆมือสั่น ตอนแรกก็ยังแปลกใจว่าศิลปินที่อยู่ในวงการมานานยังมีตื่นเต้นกับเรื่องแบบนี้ได้อีกหรือ แต่พอร้องไปเรื่อยๆ ก็เชื่อว่่าเป็นเรื่องจริง เพราะทุกๆเพลงที่ผ่านไป ปาล์มมี่เพิ่มดีกรีความเป็นธรรมชาติมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เออ มีเรื่องนึง ชอบตอนที่เค้าบังคับให้ทุกคนยืนขึ้น หากมีคนไม่ยืนจะไม่เล่นคอนเสิร์ตต่อ เด็ดครับ คนที่นั่งเป็นตอไม้ โดนคนทั้งฮอลบูใส่ จนต้องยอมลุกขึ้นมา คุณมาดูคอนเสิร์ตนะไม่ใช่นั่งอืดอยู่บ้าน เค้าให้ลุกก็ลุกสิครับ พอเครื่องร้อนปาล์มมี่ก็หยุดไม่อยู่แล้ว ถือเป็นศิลปินที่แสดงได้ดีทีุ่สุดของคืนนี้เลยทีเดียว

Groove Riders ขึ้นเวลามาพร้อมกับเสียงกรี๊ดของสาวๆ แต่ขอแสดงความเสียใจ ที่ GR ไม่สามารถสานต่อสิ่งที่ Moderndog และปาล์มมี่ทำไว้ได้เลย สังเกตได้จากคนดูเริ่มนั่งคุยกันเองเป็นครั้งแรกหลังจากคอนเสิร์ตเริ่ม คนอื่นๆเริ่มลุกไปเข้าห้องน้ำ พี่บุรินทร์ทำไม่สามารถดึงคนดูมาเป็นส่วนนึงของเค้าได้ ไม่เหมือนสิ่งที่พี่ป๊อดและปาล์มมี่ทำมาก่อนหน้านี้ คอนเสิร์ตแบบจืดๆก็ดำเนินต่อไปจนเที่ยงคืนกว่า

พอตอนจบ ทั้งสองวง หนึ่งคน ออกมาร้องเพลง ขอบคุณ พร้อมๆกัน และกล่าวอำลาแฟนเพลง คนก็เริ่มทยอยกลับ ปัญหาวิกฤติเรื่องที่จอดรถก็ถึงจุดแตกหัก เพราะว่ามีทางออกให้รถออกจากที่จอดแค่สองช่อง ทำให้รถเป็นพันคัน ที่ต้องกลับบ้านพร้อมกันมาจุกกันอยู่ตรงทางออกจนแทบจะฆ่ากันตายเพื่อให้ได้กลับบ้าน เสียเวลาไปสิบนาทีกว่าจะออกมาได้ ทั้งๆที่จอดรถอยู่ห่างทางออกแค่ประมาณ 20 เมตร

ออกมาข้างนอกได้ ก็ไปสมทบกับพรรคพวกที่ร้านข้าวต้ม ตรงใกล้ๆ BigC แจ้งวัฒนะ ทุกคนหิวจากการดูคอนเสิร์ตมาก็ซัดกันซะเกลี้ยง พอใกล้ๆตีสอง ก็แยกย้ายกันกลับบ้าน

สรุป ว่า Moderndog กับ Palmy ทำได้ดีมาก ผิดกับ Groove Riders ที่แย่ อย่างที่คาดไว้ ให้เป็นคะแนนก็ซัก 8/10 หักเรื่อง GR กับเรื่องที่จอดรถไป อย่างละคะแนน

After ...and justice for all.. album in 1989 , Metallica switched to play difference music style. Leaving loyal fan to doubt if they will ever back to their old self. The wait is finally over.. the new album delivers trash music with hard-riff guitar one again. God Bless you !

The Flow of Music

Last week I did clean up my room, something I haven't done for some time... and good thing happened. I found my Shure E2C headphone ! I thought I lost it somewhere ..

So I decided to use it for a while, pair with iPod Photo U2. This time my concept is " Just Push Play ".. meaning ? .. I won't choose any album or artist ... just listen ...

Surprisingly, I found I still be able to enjoy the song.. play at difference emotions and styles .. Jack Black's Tenacious D heavy metal riff follow by Thai pop music .. and then Zack De La Rocha rocks my ears.

OK, this is cool ! so I continue my journey with iPod Hi-Fi ..

Now ? Stone Temple Pilot all time hits .. Black Hole Sun.. before this was Guns 'n' Roses - Since I Don't Have You.

Mellow Motif

เมื่ออาทิตย์ที่แล้ว ได้มีโอกาสไป Chill Out กับเพื่อนๆที่ Rendezvous Bar โรงแรม Landmark เหตุผลที่นัดกันก็คือ มีคนอยากไปดู Mellow Motif วง Jazz ที่มีนักร้องเป็นคนไทย ด้วยเหตุผลจาก entry ด้านล่าง เรามีรึจะปฏิเสธ ..

ไปถึงประมาณทุ่มครึ่ง เค้าพึ่งเริ่มเล่นเพลงแรก เราก็หิว เลยตั้งหน้าตั้งตากินก่อน เริ่มด้วย Club Sandwich แล้วก็ต่อด้วย Spaghetti Meat Sauce จากนั้นสมองถึงจะเริ่มประมวลผลเสีียงดนตรี .. วงที่มาวันนี้เป็น Trio คือนักร้อง มือคีย์บอร์ด และ percussion ที่ใช้เครื่องดนตีีที่เรียกว่า Cajón

นั่งฟังเพลงไปจิบแชมเปญไป ก็สบายใจดี ทำให้ลืมเรื่องงานไปได้ ..

พอสักสี่ทุ่มกว่า ก็เล่นเสร็จ ทีนี้ก็เข้าไปคุยๆกับนักดนตรี.. เป็นกันเองดี จากนั้นก็แยกย้ายกันกลับบ้าน รวมๆค่าใช้จ่ายแล้วประมาณหัวละ 1,000 กว่าๆ ก็ปรกติสำหรับบาร์ในโรงแรมระดับนี้ ของทุกอย่างราคา x 3

รู้สึกดี เหมือนได้ชีวิตกลับมาอีกครั้งหนึ่ง.. อยากมีวันแบบนี้อีก .. เยอะๆ

Klear [AGaiN]

I can no longer remember when was the last time I bought music CD. It's way too long to remember .. since I always download music from internet , the pirate music. Now there's one more artist I wanted to give them support, Klear.

After I listened to their music yesterday [ actually for quite some time ], I felt they are so talented. I browsed to the band's official site and found that they are graduated from faculty of architect. BAM !! They did remind me of the last band that I love SO MUCH , Moderndog.



This might be just coincident, but I guess the faculty did a good job of producing quality musician/artist [atleast for my taste]. Some of you might not know but my sister also graduated from that place.

Producer of this album is Tar from Paradox. Also the university's alumni.

Love in the same color , I guess . ..

I'll get my hand on their release soon, maybe tomorrow.

I felt that I always pay attention to lyrics of a song. It might be because lyrics does tells a lot of stories from composer point of view, emotion state and feeling .. translate into words.

This morning, I listened to Megadeth, Countdown to Extinction Album. There's an interesting phase .. " I go to hell , for heaven's sake " .. wow , I thought it's cool. But maybe only me , I know that :P

So, if you personally know me , you 'll see my messenger personal message with lyrics that I like. Come to think of it , they are my inspiration .. for doing things , living and aiming at goal.

Thanks god , thank you for giving music to this world.

The Last Call

It's nothing more than a song .. but I guess the lyricist is just brilliant ;) Morten Veland , ex-Tristania, has composed all the songs. In wikipedia, they describe the characteristic of their lyrics like this "The lyrics are concerned with human existence, emotion, and mental states".

The last call describes about broken-heart. Lover who has been betrayed by his/her love one. The song is the first song in their latest album, Nine Destinies and a Downfall.

However, hardnose sirenia fans don't seem to welcome this album due to the differences in music style. I have read through several opinions and think I understand why they are so hate this album.

Sirenia - Nine Destinies and a Downfall

เมื่อเอ่ยคำนี้ขึ้นมา จะมีคนจำพวกนึงร้องอ๋อขึ้นมาทันที คนเหล่านั้นคือพวกที่เคยเล่นเกม Final Fantasy มา ในเกมนั้น Elixir เป็น item ชนิดหนึ่ง ซึ่งมีผลทำให้พลังชีวิต(HP) และพลังเวทย์มนต์(MP) ฟื้นขึ้นจนเต็ม เป็น item ที่สำคัญมากในการต่อสู้กับ monster ที่แข็งแกร่ง อย่างเช่นพวกหัวหน้าตาม dungeon ต่างๆ

จริงๆที่เขียนเรื่องนี้ก็ไม่มีอะไรมากหรอก เพราะกำลังฟังเพลงของวง Sirenia ซึ่งมีชื่ออัลบั้มว่า An Elixir For Existence ฟังดูค่อนข้างแปลก เพราะปรกติมักจะใช้ในรูปของ Elixir of Life มากกว่า นี่ค่อนข้างมีความรุนแรงไปอีกระดับ ถึงกับเอาไปใช้กับความอยู่รอดทีเดียว :)

iTune 7.2+ and iScrobbler

เนื่องจาก iPhone ทำให้เราต้อง update จาก iTune version 7.0 มาเป็น 7.3.2 ทำให้เจอปัญหากวนใจสองอย่าง อย่างนึงคือ iTune จะ hang เป็นบางเวลา และอีกอย่างคือ iScrobbler Plug-ins ของ last.fm เกิดไม่ทำงานขึ้นมาเฉยๆ
เวลาผ่านมาสิบกว่าวัน พึ่งจะได้มีเวลาค้นหาว่าทำไม แล้วก็ไปเจอกระทู้นี้เข้า http://www.last.fm/forum/827/_/308650 ทำให้แก้ไขได้สำเร็จ ..

ต่อมา ก็มาถึงเพลง Simple Man ของ Lynyrd Skynyrd ..
เหมือนกับ Blog เกี่ยวกับ SoulMate ที่ได้เคยเขียนไปก่อนหน้านี้

เมื่อวานนั่งฟังเพลงไปเรื่อย แต่พอมาถึงเพลงนี้ ต้องเปิดดูว่านี่มันเพลงอะไร ของใคร ทำไมฟังแล้วรู้สึกมีอะไรบางอย่างเกิดขึ้นกับร่างกายเรา
เพลง Simple Man นั้นมีเนื้อหาเีกี่ยวกับแม่และลูกชาย พอจะถอดความได้ดังนี้

ช่วงนี้กำลังหลงใหลเพลงแนว Gothic Metal บางคนอาจเรียกว่า Symphonic Metal หรือ Opera Metal ก็ว่ากันไป เพลงแนวนี้เป็นการผสมผสานกันของการร้องเพลงแบบ Opera และการร้องเพลงแบบ Metal เข้าด้วยกัน ถ้าจะให้ง่ายต่อการเข้าก็ให้นึกถึง Evanescene เอาไว้
ส่วนมากวงดนตรีในแนวนี้จะมีนักร้องนำเป็นผู้หญิง .. นอกจากนั้นจะมีนักร้องผู้ชาย ไว้ร้องเสียง Grunts และ เสียงสำรอกต่างๆ จะว่าก็ว่าไป วง Evanescene นั้นก็ออกจะเป็นวงที่มีึส่วน Metal น้อย จริงๆควรจัดอยู่ใน genre ของ Gothic Rock มากกว่า Gothic Metal

iPod Hi-Fi : มี Cradle ให้ทุกแบบ, ไม่สามารถโหลดเพลงได้ขณะเสียบ iPod ไว้
JBL Radial : ไม่มีข้อมูล , มี USB Port ต่อตรงจาก computer เพื่อโหลดเพลง

ตรงนี้คงต้องให้ JBL ชนะ เพราะเราสามารถโหลดเพลงไว้ในขณะที่เสียง iPod ไว้
มีจุดนึงที่อยากให้รู้ไว้คือ iPod ของท่านอาจจะต้องถอด Case ออกเพื่อเสียบกับเครื่องเล่นพวกนี้
เนื่องจาก Case บางแบบหนามากจนทำให้เสียบ iPod ลงไปที่ Dock ไม่ได้

สรุป
ถ้าเอา Design ก็ซื้อ JBL Radial แต่ถ้าเอาคุณภาพเสียงก็ต้อง iPod Hi-Fi
ข้อเสียอย่างนึงของพวกนี้ก็คือถึงแม้จะมี Remote แต่ก็ไม่สามารถใช้แทน iPod ได้ เพราัะ Remote ทำได้แต่ Next,Previous,Play,Pause,Volume Up/Down เพราะฉนั้นถ้าเราจะเลือกเพลงที่ไม่ได้อยู่ใน Playlist ก็ยังต้องเดินไปที่ iPod ครับ

วันนี้เราจะมา Review iPod Hi-Fi โดยละเอียดกันนะคร้าบ... เริ่มจาก Official Site
iPod Hi-Fi คือ เครื่องเสียงภายนอกของ iPod นั่นเอง แบบว่า เอา iPod เสียบ กดเล่น ก็จบ



กล่องใหญ่น่าดู หนักเอาเรื่องเลยนะ ในเวบเค้าบอกว่ายังงี้
-Weight (without batteries): 14.5 pounds (6.6 kg)
ลองมาดูความจริงกันบ้าง



ขอโทษครับพี่ .. นี่ผมซื้อผิดรุ่นป่าวเนี่ย -__-" 6.6 VS 15 นี่มันไม่ใกล้เคียงกันเลยนะ
แต่ถือดูแล้วยังไงๆมันก็ 6.6 Kg ไม่ได้หรอก สรุปว่ามันโม้ครับ

ต่อไปก็เปิดกล่องออกมา แกะๆๆ ก็จะเหลือเท่านี้

The U2 Speaicl Edition iPod
I wanted to have it for more than a year.
Oh well ... by the way , it's not a new generation iPod.
Not a video, not a nano .. it's iPod Photo 20 GB.
You can say it's outdated product and on clearance sale .

Anyway, I dont see any reason I 'll need iPod VDO.
I just need cool iPod that can provide me cool music.
My old Mini can do it well.
However, it doesnt have enough space for my favorite music collection.
I hope this one will.

I personally love this song a lot. As described in wikipedia

I started to ask myself why I'm so in love with it. The best answer I can find right now is because I'm not satisfy with myself but I don't know what I wanted to do or how can I get out of it.

This song was covered by Kula Shaker in Kollected: Best of Kula Shaker.
The lyrics is changed a little from original version , some parts are left out.
However, it still preserve the main idea of the song.
